App description

This is a challenging number puzzle game, in which the player swipes to connect matching numbers, with the goal of reaching the number 2048.

Reviewers comments

The player starts with a 3x3 grid, with two of the squares in the grid containing the number 2. The player must then swipe left, right, up or down to connect the two matching numbers together. When the two 2’s are joined, they add together to make one square with the number 4. Each time you swipe, a new number 2 appears in a random square. The player must swipe the numbers around the grid, adding them together, until they reach the goal number. The game has four different levels, each with a larger grid and a different goal number. The goal numbers are 32, 512, 1024 and 2048.

The game will end if the player reaches the goal number or if all of the squares fill up with numbers and there are no more possible moves.

This game has many learning benefits such as, developing problem solving and planning skills and developing maths skills, such as, addition and multiplication.

About games and gambling

Most games contain elements of risk, chance and knowledge, that is why they are fun to play. There is growing concern about the impacts of simulated gambling games on the health and wellbeing of children. That's why we are identifying games that contain gambling elements on our site.

The State Government of South Australia's web site http://nogame.com.au/ contains information about these concerns.
