Little Big Shots Film Festival

In the 2016 October school holidays ACCM presented Little Big Shots International Film Festival for Kids at Nova Cinema in Adelaide. More than 400 children (with parents, educators and carers) attended over two days. On both days the audience enjoyed viewing a selection of shorts films from all over the world made especially for kids. There were 8 short films (approx. 6 minutes each – total 50 mins) in each session.

Before and after each session local youth circus troupe Cirkidz roved within the cinema and presented a cabaret style performance in the foyer area.

Kids (and their families) said they really enjoyed the festival – they loved the films, the Cirkidz performance, the vote for your favourite film competition, and the give-away bags.
These are some of the comments they made:

  • Great films, Cirkidz were great, good venue, would definitely come back next year!
  • Excellent! Kids loved the circus kids and the films!
  • Loved it! Cirkidz were a great addition to the films! We will come back next year!
  • We loved participating in the vote for your favourite film competition – and the prizes were awesome- it gave us an added level of engagement

And, the good news is that in 2017 we will be presenting Little Big Shots in Adelaide again! So, look out for Little Big Shots in the October school holidays.

Little Big Shots tours to all Australian states/territories and you can find out more on the Little Big Shots website
