On the night before Alexander Cooper’s 12th birthday he makes a wish that his family would have a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day so he can make them understand how he feels when he has a bad day.
The next day, Alexander’s older brother Anthony is trying to get his driver’s licence. His sister Emily is getting ready for her school play. Alexander’s mother has an important day at work and his father has a job interview. But because of Alexander’s wish the whole family’s plans go wrong
The members of Alexander’s family must learn how to work together to get through their bad day.
There are some scenes that might scare young children.
Families should stick together and help each other.
