Dave is struggling to make a career of writing music when one day three cheeky chipmunks arrive at his home. Dave is quite surprised to find out that these chipmunks can actually sing. He agrees to let them stay with him if they promise to sing the songs he writes. All goes well and Alvin and the Chipmunks become an overnight success.
Then’ Uncle Ian’, a wicked record company manager discovers them and woos them away from Dave with the promise of making millions of dollars. Ian works the chipmunks very hard and they soon get very tired and long to return to Dave and the home comforts he’d given them.
‘Uncle Ian’ is a bully and is cruel to the chipmunks. He ignores their pleas for a rest and makes them work really hard.
Money doesn’t bring you happiness and friends and family are much more important than making lots of money.
