Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked

What’s it about?
The Chipmunks go on a family cruise with their dad, Dave and the Chipettes. Alvin is being his mischievous self when the Chipmunks find themselves overboard with the Chipettes and separated from Dave. They end up on a deserted island where they find Zoe, the only other creature on the island.
Meanwhile Dave sets out to look for the Chipmunks and the Chipettes and takes along Ian, the Chipmunks former boss. The Chipmunks have to learn how to survive on their own but when Simon finds some treasure on the island, Zoe turns into a villain.
What to look out for
There are some scary scenes in this movie which might frighten younger kids such as:
- Simon is underwater when he’s attacked by a shark. Simon punches the shark on the nose and gets away.
- A volcano is threatening to erupt throughout the movie and does eventually explode, nearly covering Dave, Ian and Zoe with ash.
- Zoe tries to stop Dave and Alvin escaping with Jeanette across a log between two high cliffs. Zoe grabs Jeanette by the leg and Dave nearly falls off trying to save her.
Moral of the Story
It’s important to look after your family and friends and take care of each other.
