What’s it about?

Greg is now in 7th grade and there’s a new girl in his class, Holly, who he’d love to ask out on a date. Of course everyone thinks she’s too good for him but he keeps dreaming.

Life at home isn’t much better as Rodrick continues to push Greg around. Their Mum thinks it would be a good idea to leave the two boys home alone for a weekend to sort out their problems. The condition is that they must be alone – no friends are allowed. Rodrick breaks this rule and has a party. Greg covers for him which makes for a better friendship between them. However when their parents find out about the party things don’t go so well.

What to look out for

Some comedy violence and fighting between Greg and Rodrick who still tries to push Greg around. Also some scary scenes which might frighten younger kids such as:

  • Greg is locked in a dark basement by Rodrick
  • Greg and Rodrick watch a spoof horror movie and a severed foot is shown.

Moral of the Story

Sometimes we need to hear the truth about ourselves and maybe change the way we behave.
