What’s it about?

Ted, a 12 year old boy lives in a place called Kneeds-ville which is an artificial place where nothing grows. Ted's in love with a girl called Audrey who really longs to see a real Truffula tree so Ted ventures out from the safety of Kneeds-ville to find one. Outside of the walls Ted finds that the world is a scary and deserted place where nothing lives except for a creature called the Once-ler. The Once-ler tries to stop Ted from finding the Lorax, the guardian of the forest who is the only one that can help Ted.

What to look out for

  • Some scary scenes like the Once-ler cuts down all the trees using many machines, one of which nearly chops the Lorax's head off.
  • Some violence such as the Lorax punches the Once-ler in the face when he wakes him up.

Moral of the Story

We need to look after the Earth and save the trees from all being chopped down or it will be a horrible place to live in.
