What’s it about?

First Position is the real life story of six young dancers who are competing in an important dance competition, the Youth America Grand Prix. The film tells about their lives and where they have come from and shows them training hard and dancing in the competition.

What to look out for

  • One girl tells about the bad things that happened in a war in her country. Her parents died and her teacher was injured
  • Young children might be upset when dancers are hurt while dancing.

Moral of the Story

The film is about working hard to get what you want and not giving up even when you are injured or don't do as well as you want to.
