What’s it about?

Paddle Pop the lion is the new king of the jungle – he is brave and always looking for an adventure. His partner Leena is the leader of the Lion Liberation Movement and she is also very brave and helps Paddle Pop a lot.  The lion kingdom is in danger though, because the evil Shadow Master wants to take over the world and return it to darkness. He tricks Queen Felina, the white tiger, into joining forces with him to defeat the lions.

Queen Felina helps the Shadow Master travel back in time to the days of the dinosaurs. There he will find some powerful crystals that will give him the power he needs to take control.  Queen Felina comes to regret helping the evil Shadow Master when she realizes what his plans really are.

What to look out for

There’s quite a lot of fighting and battles scenes that use supernatural forces and magic.  Also

  • Paddle Pop has to fight soldiers, dinosaurs and tiger guards with maces and poles.
  • Paddle Pop fights a flying dinosaur and Kara the elephant captain comes to his rescue. The creature claws at Kara, leaving a nasty gash.
  • Warrior lions attack a huge ice monster with arrows which makes the monster fall apart.

There are also several scenes, monsters and evil creatures that would scare young kids such as:

  • The Shadow Master and his creatures are quite scary looking and all have red eyes. Shadow Master is covered in black with a hood and long fingers. His laugh sounds evil.
  • The flying dinosaurs are like large scary looking birds that make a terrible screeching noise.
  • The dinosaurs are large, with red eyes and roar fiercely.

Moral of the Story

The message of the story is that it takes courage and bravery to stand up against the evil forces in the world.
