X-men: Apocalypse MA15+ with the consumer advice “Strong science fiction violence and themes, has been re-classified on appeal as M “frequent action violence and infrequent coarse language".
The decision of the Classification Board, on 11 May 2016, to classify the film MA15+ was challenged by the Australian distributor, Twentieth Century Fox Films, on 12 May, with the appeal heard by the Classification Review Board on 17 May.
