Apple shareholders call for Apple to act on children and mobile phones January 9, 2018

Apple has been asked to take urgent action to deal with children's smartphone addiction, amid fears that phone use and social media could be damaging the young generation who often spend hours on their phones every day.

Two Apple shareholders, New York-based Jana Partners and the California State Teachers' Retirement System, or CalSTRS, said  in open letter to Apple that the company must offer must offer more choices and tools to help children fight addiction to its devices.
