This review of AB Blast contains the following information:
20 of 270 available levels were played.
Angry Bird Blast is a fast-paced puzzle game. The goal is to progress through increasingly challenging levels (270 in total) by tapping on same-coloured balloons. Each level sets certain targets and the player earns rewards like stars, coins and lives. Some of the advertised features (“daily challenges”, sharing, competing with other users) require signing in with a Facebook account.
Tapping on matching balloons as quickly as possible requires fast visual recognition of patterns and quick response time. Apart from gradually increasing in difficulty, the game is rather repetitive and the skill set does not vary. The game does not require or foster prolonged focus or concentration, as the actual playtime per level is very short. Although it is not necessary to create a user account or to connect with the Internet, the player is repeatedly encouraged to log into Facebook in order to receive rewards, and to compete and share with other users. There are also links to related apps that can be purchased. In-app purchases include merchandise products (at the time of the review the merchandise section did not function) and digital coins, which unlock helpful game tools and lives (up to $ 159.99 for the most expensive item). Parental guidance and/or a lock system are therefore recommended for all age groups.
At time of review, the reviewer found no simulated gambling content.
