This review of Athletics 2 – Summer Sports contains the following information:
The app was played for several days by the reviewer.
Athletics 2 – Summer Sports allows players to compete in popular Olympic games such as hurdles, shot put, rowing, swimming and cycling, etc. Games can be played individually against the computer, or 2 player split screen (not against someone else online – but in person). Each event has its own controls – which are clearly explained at the start of each game. Most involve tapping and swiping buttons on screen. There are 2 modes – single event and competition (events such as triathlon and decathlon). Medals are rewarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place – with a medal ceremony and (your chosen) national anthem. Your medal tally accrues on the title screen as you play and win.
This app is free from the things you’d normally find in most games – in-app purchases, banner ads, watching ads for rewards, gambling elements, log ins, and social media connectivity. There are also no virtual coins or currency that can be spent or used to play “risk for reward” style side games. This may well be the benefit of purchasing the game as opposed to downloading the free version. It’s a well-designed game with good tutorials and ease of playability.
