Bejeweled Blitz is a fun puzzle game where the player has to try to match similar gems together by swiping them around the board.
Bejeweled Blitz is a puzzle game where the player is shown a board full of different styles of gems. The aim of the game is to match three or more of the same style gem together in a row to gain coins. The player does this by swiping gems around the board. The player can swipe left, right, up or down to move the gems. Once the player gets 3 or more of the same style gems in a row, the player receives coins, the gems disappear and more gems appear in their place. The player has one minute to match as many gems as possible before the game ends. The player can use the coins that they win to buy special ‘boost’ gems which have special powers, for example, extending the time of the game or shuffling all the gems on the board. The game itself is suitable for children to play, however, the app also includes a gambling section (see Gambling for more detail) which makes this app is unsuitable for children.
The player can spend real money to buy more coins for the game. The price of the packages ranges from $12.99 for 590,000 coins to $129.99 for 9,300,000 coins. The player can also use real money to buy extra spins for the slot machines (see Gambling for more detail).
The player can connect this game with their Facebook account to play against their Facebook friends.
Simulated Casino Style Gambling: Not Suitable for Minors - From the main menu of the game the player can spin a slot machine to win more coins. Once a day the player receives a free spin but if they want more spins the play must pay real money. Extra spins range from $1.29 for 5 spins to $12.99 for 62 spins.
The player can watch a video advertisement in exchange for 2000 coins. The advertisements are for other app games, some which include gambling and violence.
