This review of Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies contains the following information:
Played for several hours.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies starts off in a darkened mansion – with unseen zombies growling in the distance. Then the tutorial steps you through the controls: movement is achieved by an on-screen joystick to the left of screen, swipe anywhere to look left and right, select the target icon to aim the gun, press anywhere on-screen to shoot and press the knife at the bottom of the screen to slash at the attacking zombies. As you destroy zombies, you earn points – which can be used to unlock areas and upgrade weapons. There is also a Co-op Multiplayer option where you can play in real time with other online players. The aim of the game is to progress through the levels by destroying zombies and staying alive.
This game is not suitable for players 17 and under. Whilst the game has some light humour through character comments, the game on a whole is quite dark and comparable to a horror movie. There is clear blood splatter, heads exploding, zombie bodies that have been blown in half that continue to chase you by crawling and enraged dogs that appear to be on fire attacking you. Parents should also be vigilant around allowing access to games with real time voice chat – particularly with strangers.
