This review of Creature Garden contains the following information:
Our Reviewer spent several hours playing all the different elements of this app.
Creature Garden is a sandbox style game in which the player can create his/her own creature using a wide choice of legs/flippers, heads, tails, mouths, ears, etc. The body shape is hatched from an egg so it’s always a surprise. The player can then have fun with their creatures in various environments: on land, underwater or in the air. They can race their creatures, feed them and even cross breed them.
The player is required to interact with the app by tapping on objects and moving them about on the screen, therefore some fine motor skills are required. This app will develop creativity skills and give children the opportunity to explore imaginary worlds.
Creature Garden is a fun and easy open-ended game for young children to play. It is number six in Tinybop’s series of imaginary world apps. There is endless scope for children to use their imagination creating and playing with their own creatures in different environments.
There are no in-app purchases or advertising within the game. There is an ad that appears on opening the app which is to direct the user to the developer’s website and further apps made by them. This is the only place parents would need to use some caution to prevent their child gaining online access. There is no need for the Internet to be connected to play this game and it is recommended that it be turned off.
