App description

In Dashy Crashy, players must navigate their vehicle through heavy traffic on a 5 lane highway. As the vehicle drives forward automatically, players must dodge left and right by swiping in these directions. Swiping ‘back’ brakes momentarily,  and swiping forward provides a short burst in speed. The game continues until you crash into another car or object. The aim of the game is to travel as far as possible, whilst earning points, until you crash. Prizes are earned during game play which unlocks new cars. At time of playing, there were 90 cars to unlock. Different cars have different features (For example, the Tank can fire at cars ahead).

Reviewers comments

The only concerns that parents should be aware of in this app are the nature and type of ads and in-app purchasing. To unlock some cars, you have the option to watch ads. These ads are approximately 20 – 30 second clips that can’t be clicked out of until the end. Many of these ads feature war style, violent games and are not appropriate for the developer’s age rating of 4+. Cars can also be purchased for $1.49, but a password is required to complete the purchase. Besides the above, there were no other concerns.
