App description

‘Dr Panda Supermarket’ is a mini games app where players can explore different supermarket themed games. These games are “click and drag” based,  where players can do a variety of tasks, such as collect shopping carts, mop the floor and help shoppers find their items. Parental guidance is recommended for ages under 5 due to advertising.  

Reviewers comments

The game is set in a supermarket which is run by a panda. Animals come into the supermarket and the player has to help them with their shopping. The games are based on clicking and dragging items rather than language skills, which allows younger players to easily navigate the games. There is no tutorial, so the player must discover how the games work themselves. For example, one of the games is to collect all of the shopping carts in the car park. The player clicks on the carts and drags them together to form a line. This app can help players with their object and pattern recognition skills, spatial awareness, and also teach players about organisation and recycling.

On the main menu of the game, it advertises more app games by the same developer. If clicked, it will request that the player put in their birth year. Only players over 14 years are taken to the app store. However, these advertisements can be turned off by users (over the age of 14 – see inset below.)
