This review of Endless Numbers contains the following information:
Reviewer accessed all levels available in the free version.
Endless Numbers provides young children with the opportunity to develop number recognition, understanding, sequencing, counting and to practice simple addition. The numbers 1-5 (free version) are individually introduced (by friendly looking monsters) and children hear the number name and see it’s formation. They are then able to put numbers in a sequence by dragging them around on the screen. Children can count the ‘monster’ eyes by tapping on the screen to match with the number, complete a simple equation and watch and listen to a short animated video sequence about each number.
Endless Numbers is a bright and colourful app designed to appeal to young children and introduce them to new concepts associated with early numeracy learning. Children use different senses simultaneously whilst interacting with the app – they listen, watch and ‘do’ which can be a very effective way to learn and retain new information.
The free version only goes up to the number 5 with additional numbers available for purchase. There is a small link on the home screen to purchase additional number packs and other apps by the same developer. This is controlled via a parental lock, which requires three numbers written in word form to be entered into the screen via numerals. There is also another parental area with links to social media and this is accessed the same way.
