This review of Find them all: Learning Animal Game For Children contains the following information:
Levels played include: Animal search, night fall search, in-app photo taking, jigsaw puzzle, animal quiz
In the free version of Find them All: Learning Animal Game, the player learns basic facts about animals that live on farms and in the wild, what they look and sound like and what they are called in English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese. The user can take and collect photos, turn them into jigsaw puzzles and take quizzes.
Reading skills are not required for this game as all instructions are spoken. In order to progress through the game the player needs to stay focussed, as certain options like taking photos (an in-app screenshot), receiving animal facts, creating jigsaw puzzles, taking quizzes etc., only unlock once certain tasks are fulfilled. The facts and quizzes are useful and informative, and the option to listen to the animals’ names in other languages raises awareness of and interest in other languages.
The game does not require internet connectivity, creation of a user account or provision of any personal details. While the actual content is suitable for young children, parental guidance and/or co-playing is recommended as the app advertises paid extensions, gives incentives to rate or share the app on Facebook, and provides the option to print an album. Some options (e.g. game settings, review writing, purchases) directed at parents are protected through a maths problem (e.g. 9x4) which could be solved by a child. In-app purchases can be deactivated in the device’s general parental control settings.
