This review of Four in a Row – Classic Board Games contains the following information:
The easy and medium levels of this game were played.
This is a digital version of the classic children’s game Connect Four. The aim of the game is to match four pieces in a row before your opponent does. The game can be set up for one or two players and the player can choose to play against themselves, the computer or online opponents. Basic strategic thinking skills are developed as both players try to block the other player’s pieces. Throughout play the player is encouraged to record their score on the global high score board, to do this a user name and password is created. There is also a menu item that allows players to share their score on Facebook.
Within this app there is an advertising banner and at the time of review there were ads ranging from a Motor Mechanics, Lightning Luck (a Vegas style casino game), Words for Friends (a scrabble style app) and Number One Casino (a simulated gambling app). While you can request that the ad is removed each time a new game is loaded, it reappears. In addition there are pop up ads that include simulated gambling apps (see screen shot below).
Note: the reviewer switched the internet off (in device settings) and tried to play the game offline but it was automatically switched back on each time a new game was loaded.
