App description

Hidden Folks is very similar to the popular book series “Where’s Wally”. Players are given a set of items (e.g.; people, animals, objects) to find amongst a scene which is saturated with other objects. Some objects are in plain sight – others can only be found by moving and pressing obstructive objects. The aim of the game is to find all objects in order to move onto the next scene.

Reviewers comments

Parents need to be aware that players can connect with each other and communicate – not only through text but can actually voice and video call each other using a piggyback app called “Discord”. It’s not a requirement to play the game, but it is an added feature that parents should be vigilant about. Regarding game-play, the objects are very small in normal view. You can “2 finger-swipe” outwards to enlarge any area, but if most of the time is spent in normal view – eye strain could be a potential problem for long term playing.

About games and gambling

Most games contain elements of risk, chance and knowledge, that is why they are fun to play. There is growing concern about the impacts of simulated gambling games on the health and wellbeing of children. That's why we are identifying games that contain gambling elements on our site.

The State Government of South Australia's web site http://nogame.com.au/ contains information about these concerns.
