This review of James' amazing adventures: learning games for kids contains the following information:
Completed all levels.
James' amazing adventures: learning games for kids is a game aimed at teaching and improving basic skills such as matching (colour, shapes and sounds), shape identification and sorting, basic navigation, colour mixing and isolating sound. For example one game requires players to sort fish into their relative bag by matching the shapes on its body to the corresponding bag. Another game requires matching the baby bird to its mother by identifying the same bird call (when pressed).
There is also a nature component which demonstrates sun safety through sorting shade and applying sunscreen. All games have a short movie tutorial and activities are achieved through tapping and swiping. There is also a parental area (only unlockable via solving a maths equation) which allows parents to set the difficulty level by age and set a time control on playing time.
There are no ads, in-app purchases or social media connectivity in this app. The use of colour, animation and music is an attractive feature for young children and while the games are educational, they also maintain a fun element. In the app’s parental area, it states that this app is used by some speech therapists. The current reviewer, being a behaviour therapist for children with autism, has recommended this game to several clients also for its matching and sorting features.
