This review of Kids Music Factory contains the following information:
All available play modes were reviewed.
This music app allows players to become familiar with a ‘do-re-mi’ keyboard as well as the corresponding position of notes on a stave. The paid version contains 20 popular tunes, for example Old McDonald, Jingle Bells, to play along to, as well as over 30 sound effects that can be used to create the user’s own tunes by dragging and dropping them onto the stave.
This music app introduces players to a basic piano keyboard as well as the corresponding position of notes on the stave. The play along and playback mode trains the player’s musical ear including sensitivity to melody and rhythm. The option to compose and save the user’s own tunes, using either the classical piano sound or a variety of available sound effects, fosters musical creativity and invites players to experiment with sounds and melodies. The “parents’ section” is accessible to anyone who can read the instructions and contains the option to leave feedback, to share and like the app on Facebook and Twitter. The “More” section links up with similar apps that can be purchased. Parental guidance is therefore recommended for 4-8 year olds. Basic reading skills are also required in order to select songs.
