This review of Lara Croft Go contains the following information:
All five chapters comprising 40 levels in total were reviewed.
In this game the player moves the character Lara Croft along a given path. The path is obstructed by enemies (e.g. snakes, spiders) and obstacles (e.g. boulders, traps, saw blades) and the player needs to find strategies to move past them, for example, by activating levers which shift walls and platforms, as well as obstacles and enemies. On the way, treasures and useful objects (e.g. keys, weapons) can be collected.
As the game progresses, the puzzles become more complex and challenging. The player needs to apply strategic thinking and problem solving skills. The game also requires persistence. Although lives can be lost to enemies and obstacles, there is no limit to lives, encouraging the player to try out different strategies and use as many attempts as necessary until a puzzle is solved. This requires focus and concentration in order to remember previous moves. Puzzle solutions can be purchased for $2.99. Other in-app purchases include additional outfits and related apps. In the "Communications" and "Settings" sections, players can email feedback and there are links to Twitter, Facebook, iCloud, the Game Centre, and the developer's website. Parental guidance is therefore recommended for younger players.
