This review of LEGO® DC Super Heroes Chase contains the following information:
Our reviewer played the game for several hours.
LEGO® DC Super Heroes Chase is a virtual car game where players drive LEGO vehicles, using popular DC super heroes (such as; Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, etc.). As vehicles accelerate automatically into the screen, players only need to steer left and right using the on-screen driving wheel. The aim of the game is to navigate the driving course whilst collecting gold coins and weapons and avoiding obstacles. Once the player has enough weapons (e.g. large hammers) an enemy appears in front of the player’s car (e.g. the Joker). Players then need to use their weapon (by pressing the button to the left of screen) to hit the enemy, whilst avoiding return fire. When the enemy has been hit 3 times, the contest ends and the collected coins go towards unlocking the next character. There is also a feature in the app which allows players to select and watch short trailers for popular LEGO movies and TV shows.
This game is free from common distractions that often appear in other games (pop-up ads, in-app purchasing, social media connectivity). The game is very simple to play and hence is likely to appeal to younger children. The only very minor concern for parents is that young children may become familiar with DC superheroes and villains, and may become attracted to movies which feature them (which are usually rated M or higher). There is also quick access to 19 short clips within the app (some are 5 mins long). Parents with limited mobile data plans may need to be mindful of data usage with these clips.
There is no In-App purchasing with this game.
No online information is requested.
At the time of review, the reviewer found no simulated gambling content. If you discover simulated gambling content in this app, please contact us with the details so we can update our review.
Although there are no pop up ads, Parents should be aware that this app promotes both LEGO and DC characters.
