This review of Lumino City contains the following information:
The game was played over several days.
Lumino City is an entertainment puzzle game centred on exploring the city. The protagonist is a young lady named Lumi - whose mission is to embark on an adventure to save her Grandfather who has just been kidnapped. He is the caretaker of Lumino City, and to find him, you must guide Lumi through exploring the city to figure out mechanisms that power the Lumino World. Lumino City is well known for its one of a kind visuals, the developer built the featured environments by hand and its appealing graphics which entice children and keep them engaged. The app acts as an interactive storybook, where players complete puzzles to move through the city.
Whilst Lumino City may provide children with educational value, the game is quite hard. Developer recommends this app for children 4+, however it is suggested that some of the tasks that players are presented with are not likely to be achievable for a child of that age. There are minimal instructions for the game, and therefore players are left to their own accord to some extent, making it quite difficult to complete some of the tasks. Parents should be aware that whilst the age recommendation is safe with regards to violence etc, younger children would struggle to finish these tricky problems and may feel a sense of frustration as a result. In addition, Lumi is presented with a few situations where she has to sneak past guards, or trick other people in the game to get to her grandfather, these may present as moral conflicts for children, as they may begin to think doing this is right in every situation.
