This review of Match the Dots contains the following information:
Levels 1 to 36
In this puzzle-style game, the player must draw lines of two or more of the same coloured dots to make them pop.
Within this game, the player must draw lines of two or more of the same coloured dots. The connected dots then pop and disappear from the puzzle and points are allocated. Longer lines score more points. The goal may be to reach a specified number of points or pop a certain number of coloured dots within a time limit or number of moves. Progress towards the goal is updated at the top of the page. When the player achieves the goal, bonuses are added, total points are calculated and stars are awarded. The player moves to the next level. There are many levels, each level becoming more difficult. Longer lines create coloured bombs, which clear more dots and earn more points. If the player fails to collect the right number of dots within the allocated number of moves or time, they can try again as many times as they like, or they can move to the next level. The player may be able to select a higher level without playing all the levels in between, however much higher levels must be unlocked by earning more stars.
The instructions are very clear. In the earlier levels, the player receives a generous number of moves in which to collect the specified amount of dots.
A possible learning benefit could be that the player must plan the best combinations of moves to collect the required dots within the allowed number of moves or time limit.
In Settings, the player may select Colour Blind Mode, in which the coloured dots are differentiated with symbols.
