Our Reviewer played the game over several days.
Minion Rush places the minions from the movie Despicable Me into a continuous runner game. Whilst your minion runs into the screen automatically, players must avoid on-coming obstacles and collect bananas by swiping left, right, up (jump) and down (tumble). Missions vary per level and include objectives such as Run 600 Meters or Jump over obstacles 10 times. Added features such as new minions and outfits can be unlocked through successful missions and purchased with collected bananas. The aim of the game is to complete each mission to progress through the levels.
Apart from very mild crude humour, parents only need to be mindful of the in-app purchasing and earning rewards from watching ads. The game may be perceived as an ad itself for the Despicable Me movie series and parents should review the movie classifications of their state or territory (PG in Australia) if their children are influenced by the game to watch them.
