This review of Monument Valley 2 contains the following information:
Our Reviewer played the game for several hours.
Monument Valley 2 is reminiscent of the famous art by M.C. Escher called “Relativity” – a black and white drawing depicting a large room where staircases and rooms go in contrary directions, with people moving in different orientations to the centre – seemingly defying gravity. This environment provides the setting to this game, where players must navigate each scene by traversing from one point to another. This is achieved by moving and turning objects in the environment, then tapping on the area where you want your character to move to. The aim of the game is to work out each scene to get your character through the destination door or area.
Our Reviewer could not fault this game. Being a paid app, there are no ads, pop-up banners, in-app purchasing or social media connectivity. Some younger players may become frustrated through difficult levels; however, the benefits far outweigh the disadvantages. Not only does this game have good potential to bolster problem solving skills – but due to the bending of the normal rules of gravity (and slight optical illusions) players must be mindful to think outside of the box to solve the problems. These skills are great to generalise into the real world.
