Mrs Potato Head is a creative game in which players firstly assemble Mrs Potato Head in any way they like, dress the character and then take them to a ’world’ to play in. It is quite a simple game that young children aged 4 – 8 could enjoy. Caution: in-app purchases and online connectivity.

This review of Mrs Potato Head - Create and Play contains the following information:
Played the two outfits and one world available in the free version.
Mrs Potato Head is a creative, fun game for young children whom can assemble their potato in a fun or classic way by placing the arms, eyes, ears, nose and mouth wherever they choose. The free version comes with two outfits and one ‘world’ (Pirate Island) where their character can interact with its surroundings. Screen shots can be captured by the camera and saved in the app or shared by email or Facebook.
A one-off purchase of $7.99 will buy 30 more outfits and 14 worlds to visit. The free version is somewhat limited in its scope and the activities in Pirate Island are quite repetitive. The ability however, to assemble the potato in a variety of combinations could keep young children amused for some time.
In the free version, there are 4 activities that Mrs Potato Head can do in Pirate Island, which can quickly become very repetitive. The screenshots can be shared online through email and/or Facebook. The ability to do this is protected by a screen, which says ‘Grown-Ups Only’ and users have to enter the three written digits to gain access. This would easily be by-passed by school-age children.
The home screen provides information for parents, which again is protected by the same screen. This page provides access to Facebook, Twitter, email and the developer’s support email. Parental Guidance and/or co-play is therefore recommended for children aged 4 – 8.
A one-off purchase of $7.99 buys 30 more outfits and 14 more worlds to visit.
