This review of Netball Live contains the following information:
Played for several hours
The Netball Live app allows unsubscribed users (or non-Telstra customers) to watch full match replays, view team information such as players and statistics, view the ladder, view up-coming matches and keep up to date with current Australian Netball news. Subscribers also have access to watch games live and obtain Telstra promotions.
The presentation of the app is very simple and most people will find it easy to navigate. Basic gross motor skills only required.
Due to the possibility of purchasing a subscription, ACCM recommends parental guidance for children aged 4 – 8.
The app is quite simple to use and, in general, no concerns for children were encountered. However, it may be possible for children to subscribe to Telstra Live Pass quite easily. All it takes is pressing a single button: “Subscribe or restore subscription”. Beneath this button, in smaller text, it states: “By tapping through you are agreeing to Telstra’s T & Cs and also our Privacy Agreement”. For non-Telstra members, the subscription costs $2.99 per week – not including data charges. This could work out to be quite expensive over time if several matches are watched each week – especially if the device is using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi. This is the reason ACCM recommends parental guidance for children aged 4 – 8.
Further to the above, a couple of links will take you out of the app – such as purchasing tickets and clicking the Facebook button – however, both of these require account and/or logins to go any further.
Subscribing to Telstra Live Pass will cost $2.99 per week – not including data charges.
