Overdrive Premium is a strategy game involving basic motor skills, basic reading and strategic thinking skills.
There are three types of game-play included in the app. ‘Story’ mode allows the player to progress through levels on 120 map options. ‘Survival’ mode allows a player to choose between 4 locations with the aim to get the best score and kill spree. And lastly, ‘Defence’ mode which needs 30 stars to unlock so was not explored at the time of the review.
Within each level the player will encounter obstacles such as a group of robots trying to fight you or obstacles in your path that you must jump over. The aim of the game is to get to the end of each level without dying.

This game revolves around violence, involving swords, guns and lasers. At the end of each level you get a rank of how many people you killed and how many soul points you earned. However, there are no realistic characteristics (when you hit an enemy they turn into diamonds on the floor which are counted as ‘soul points’).
