Levels 1-23
This is a multi level puzzle game.
In this puzzle game with many levels, the main character is the ball-like Papa Pear. Papa Pear is aimed and then launched into the puzzle to bounce around various obstacles on the screen, accompanied by copious “doing-doing” sounds. The aim is to clear the obstacles and/or land in the buckets as instructed, within the allowed number of launches. Points are earned as obstacles are cleared – more bounces means more points. Unused launches earn extra points. Helpful items are introduced at various stages of the game. The player has five lives and a quota of gold bars. Successfully completing a puzzle allows the player to progress to the next level. If the player does not complete it successfully, they can use gold bars to continue play on in the same attempt. If not, a life is lost and the player has another try. When the player has used all five lives, they can wait for another life in 5 minutes (for subsequent lives they must wait 30 minutes), ask Facebook friends for help or buy a full set of lives using gold bars. If the player has insufficient gold bars, they can be purchased with money.
There is an element of strategy to plan where to shoot the Papa Pear for best effect, but the bouncing seems fairly random and unpredictable much of the time.
Extra gold bars can be purchased (for $2.67 to $134.23). Other items (e.g. “Multiplier Pins”) can also be purchased. Purchasing can be by debit card, credit card and gift card (i.e. Google Play card). The process to purchase items requires moving through 3 screens before entering either card/debit card details or gift card number. Where GooglePlay credit already exists, the Google Account password is requested. Parents should be aware that if they enter the password, the player can make more than one purchase. The password remains valid for 30 minutes to continue purchasing, even after the game has been exited and resumed.
When the player logs in to Facebook, the app receives the player’s public profile, friend list and email address. A leader board is shown at the end of each level, which displays the player’s first name and profile picture. It shows the player’s rank against their other Facebook friends who have played. When players run out of lives, they are given the option of asking friends for more lives via Facebook.
