This review of Sudoku contains the following information:
The game was played for several hours.
This puzzle style app begins with an example of a Sudoku grid and a written explanation of how the game works. The next screen explains how to use the electronic tools to fill in the grid (the virtual version of pens and erasers). The next screen provides the first puzzle and the player taps on the square in the grid they want to place a number in and chooses that number from the menu. There is an infinite number of puzzles and players can choose various levels from easy to expert. There is a hint tool that players can click on but before the hint for the puzzle is given they must watch an ad for another app. Along the bottom of the screen there is a banner with scrolling advertisements, mostly for ads for more apps.
This app provides a challenge for older children (and adults) to develop numeracy and problem solving skills. The app is not overly illustrated and mimics a white piece of paper as found in versions of the real world Sudoku. This app provides a good opportunity for co-play, especially with younger children that are interested.
