Our reviewer completed up to level 4 .
Wild Beyond could be classified as either a Collectable Card Game (CCG) or Real Time Strategy (RTS) game. Players commence with a deck of cards which each have either fighting characters or weapons with number values (e.g. Rocket Trooper – 3). Once the playing field is presented, battle time then commences. There is a meter at the bottom of the screen which slowly increases in numbered increments – indicating what level card you can play at that time. For example, to play the Rocket Trooper noted above, the player would need to wait for 3 increments to be filled. As play continues, the sequence of your deck of cards appears at random. Therefore, players need to adjust strategy as they go, playing the best card depending on what is happening on the field at that time. Players can either battle each other in real time in “Multiplayer” mode or play the computer in the “Campaign” mode. Rewards are earned through winning battles and can be used to purchase new cards or upgrade existing ones. Players can also converse with each other – whether they are in play or not.
The developers of this game have set a reasonable age level on this game (12+) in comparison to other games which feature similar themes. However, not only can you speak with anyone openly connected to this app, but you can also private message (PM) anyone of your choice. Therefore, ACCM suggest that caution and parental guidance should be exercised for children 13 – 15. It is not recommended that children 12 and under access this app.
