A synopsis of the story

Bebefinn grows sad when his older siblings, Bora and Brody, choose not to play with him, and he turns to his tablet for comfort. But when the tablet falls off the table, he is transported into the Pinkfong world! In his place, Pinkfong himself appears and agrees to help Bora and Brody track down Bebefinn.

Together, Bora, Brody and Pinkfong journey through the many parts of the Pinkfong world, from Dinosaur Village to Car City, while tracking Bebefinn down. However, time is ticking, and they will be trapped in Pinkfong world forever if the tablet runs out of battery. They must move quickly to find Bebefinn and return to the real world before it is too late!

Themesinfo

Children and adolescents may react adversely at different ages to themes of crime, suicide, drug and alcohol dependence, death, serious illness, family breakdown, death or separation from a parent, animal distress or cruelty to animals, children as victims, natural disasters and racism. Occasionally reviews may also signal themes that some parents may simply wish to know about.

Loneliness; Family dynamics.

Use of violenceinfo

Research shows that children are at risk of learning that violence is an acceptable means of conflict resolution when violence is glamourised, performed by an attractive hero, successful, has few real life consequences, is set in a comic context and / or is mostly perpetrated by male characters with female victims, or by one race against another.

Repeated exposure to violent content can reinforce the message that violence is an acceptable means of conflict resolution. Repeated exposure also increases the risks that children will become desensitised to the use of violence in real life or develop an exaggerated view about the prevalence and likelihood of violence in their own world.

There is some violence in this movie, including:

  • Brody holds up a pirate sword.
  • There is a musical number about a T-Rex, with lyrics that detail its hunting prowess, showing its sharp teeth and asking, “what’s gonna be my prey?” The T-Rex roars loudly, which may frighten young viewers.
  • A T-Rex roars loudly, causing a Pteranodon to crash and leave its beak stuck in the ground.
